Details

Set on a working sheep farm overlooking two valleys, Rhandir Barn is one of two stunning, architect designed, 19th-century barns occupying a secluded and dramatic position in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park.

The exposed stone of the feature archways in the living room, once part of the stables, are a permanent reminder of the history surrounding this rural retreat. The spacious, beamed open plan living/dining room offers a relaxed ambience in front of the cosy wood-burning stove and the property enjoys an abundance of outstanding views over the Black Mountains and Carreg Cennen Castle.

Taking breakfast in the well equipped kitchen or taking in the sounds and sights of the area, relaxing outside with a barbecue is a delight. At the end of the day, retire to one of the two cosy double or one single bedroom. One of the double bedrooms features a glazed door which opens onto a small balcony with external steps to the patio – ideal for a morning coffee.

If you can tear yourself away from this amazing barn, the National Park has an abundance of activities on offer for all abilities. From leisurely strolls, mountain hikes or full on adrenaline sports like paragliding, canoeing and abseiling. Mountain biking, golf, horse riding are just a small selection of the many activities on offer. The peaceful hamlet of Trapp can be found on the banks of the River Cennen just 2 miles away with a selection of restaurants and pubs and the ancient town of Llandeilo just 6 miles. Large, beamed, open-plan living/dining room with wood-burning stove and tiled floor. Spacious beamed kitchen with breakfast table and tiled floor. Utility/boot room. Separate toilet. First floor: Two double bedrooms, each with TV; one with en-suite bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet, one with glazed door to small balcony and external staircase to patio. Single bedroom.
